Water Quality
- Montana State Revolving Fund Programs
Updated May 1, 2009
The ARRA provides funds for drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects statewide. The Clean Water State Revolving Fund provides funds to local governments for water pollution control infrastructure including the upgrade and expansion of wastewater, reclaimed water and stormwater facilities. Existing water quality loan and grant program criteria provide the mechanism for determining eligibility for funds and their distribution. The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund provides funds through a federal/state partnership for loans to public water systems for capital improvements. Drinking Water SRF funds are targeted to increasing public health protection and other safe drinking water activities.
The ARRA specifically targets projects under the SRF programs that can move forward quickly and provide the needed improvements to local communities intended under these programs.
