Other programs:

Radio Shack, Target and Home Depot are all part of the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation. These retailers accept all rechargeable batteries and cell phones for recycling.

Donate Your Cell Phone - The 911 Cell Phone Bank was created to provide an ongoing and readily available source of 911 emergency cell phones and funds to meet unexpected and urgent needs of participating law enforcement and affiliated victims services agencies.

The Wireless Foundation, with help from organizations and individuals across the country, is collecting no longer used wireless phones to help fight domestic violence. These phones are often a lifeline in an emergency, providing victims with instant access to help. Phones collected through this national donation program will be used to increase the number of wireless phones available to victims in need, while generating additional resources to support the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the CALL to PROTECT program.

Any and all hand-carried wireless phones are accepted. The newer phones in good condition will be recycled and distributed to victims. Older phones or phones in need of serious repair will be sold, with proceeds used to support domestic violence programs.

Verizon Wireless HopeLine Program is a Verizon Wireless exclusive program that uses wireless services and equipment to assist victims in emergency domestic violence situations.

HopeLines collects wireless phones that are no longer being used. The used phones are either refurbished and recycled or sold. With the funds raised from the sale of the refurbished phones, Verizon Wireless will purchase wireless phones and donate airtime to victims of domestic violence through human services and law enforcement agencies.

Verizon Wireless' HopeLines program also makes financial grants to regional and national domestic violence organizations, such as the Family Violence Prevention Fund, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and other select community interest groups. Wireless phones and equipment donations can be sent to above address. Donated phones are tax deductible. See website for tax donation receipt.

Nokia Phone Take-Back Program - Nokia has created a free take-back program. Visit their website to print a postage-paid return label. All phones, regardless of manufacturer, are accepted for free recycling.

Recycling for Charities - Protecting our earth while helping charities! Donate your old cell phone, PDA, digital camera, iPod, ink or toner cartridge to be recycled and benefit the charity of your choice! RFC is a non-profit organization helping other charities.
