Information for AMOCO well is from two sources, the MBOG well completion report and the Montana Geothermal Map by Sondregger (1983,OFR 142). AMOCO well Hirschy #1, was drilled to a total depth of 16,030 ft and had a bottom hole temperature of 183 C (362 F) (Sondregger, 1983).
However, the MBOG well completion report (API 25001-21008, pg 19) records a bottom hole temperature of 191 F. Tertiary sediments were recorded to a depth of 15,910 ft and Precambrian Belt metamorphics were logged from this depth to the TD (16,030 ft).
