The Angela well is a primitive, isolated area located on private land. Although completely unimproved and sometimes difficult to access or find, the well has an impressive artesian spring. The well discharges over 1200 gpm of 185 F carbonate-rich water. The flow has created carbonate terraces over 4 feet thick, which surround shallow pools with carbonate mud bottoms.

Angela Hot Springs well is referenced on Geothermal Resources of Montana, (Sonderegger and Bergantino, 1981). GWIC records indicate perforated casing from 8152’-8172’. No lithologic, hole diameter, or seal records for GWIC 1771.
