Ennis Hot Springs has the hottest surface spring water in the state. The springs rise from the foot of an alluvial gravel bench. Water is now provided by a 1981 MBMG well completed to 1,220 ft, the bottom temperature was 202 F. Free flow from the wellhead is about 25 gpm. The USGS completed a vigorous geologic evaluation in the area with numerous test wells from 1975 to 1980.
