Fairmont Hot Springs is perhaps the most intensely developed spa and resort in Montana. There are two Olympic-sized swimming pools, two hot pools and room heating for a resort hotel. Water is provided by five wells with flowing over 150 gpm, one hot water well and four cold water wells. Hot water is provided to Fairmont via a 600-foot well with 125 F artesian water, at 150 to 200 gpm. Bottom-hole temperatures were initially 170 F, artesian hot water is mixed with cold water from pumped wells prior to use in the swimming pools, spas, hot tubs, and space heating of Fairmont hotel rooms.

FAIRMONT HOT SPRINGS is located in beautiful SOUTHWEST MONTANA, part of Montana’s Gold West Country. It’s a big sky landscape of broad open valleys ringed by snow-capped mountains, featuring some of Montana's finest trout fishing and a mother-lode of history. Southwest Montana is conveniently located between GLACIER NATIONAL PARK and YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, making it a great place to stop and experience what life in Montana was, is and will be.
