The Little Rockies area contains considerable warm water (average 24 C) from the Madison Group at surface or shallow depths. Drilling in the surrounding area may increase the available flow to 100,000 -250,000 L/min (Sonderegger & Bergantino, 1981). The waters at the Lodgepole spring are warm enough for significant direct heating, but there is no current commercial development of the resource.
