Now using E-mail Notification System
As part of a continuing effort to make government more efficient and customer friendly, the Petroleum Tank Release Compensation Board and staff is instituting an e-mail notification system. This new web-based service will permit interested parties to subscribe (or unsubscribe) to one, or more, of three interested parties lists. Interested persons can sign up for one or more of the following lists:
1) The "Interested Party" list provides information to all interested parties pertaining to proposed laws, rules, policies, and other general information of significant interest to the public.
2) The "Interested Consultant" list will be used to communicate information about fee schedules, consultant meetings or other topics of interest to the environmental consultant community.
3) The "Interested Owner/Operator" list will be used to communicate information of significant interest to owner/operators.
To subscribe to one or more of the Petroleum Tank Release Compensation Board interested parties lists, go to PETROstep1.mcpx and follow the directions. The e-mail list service system does require you to cancel your subscription and re-subscribe when your email address changes. You can confirm that your email address is on the list by checking the status on the same hyperlink. The list will be managed by the Board staff. Undeliverable email addresses will be removed from the list.
The intent of the list is to permit and encourage the public to participate in Board decisions that are of significant interest to the public and to provide for the receipt of public comment by use of an electronic mail system, in place of surface mail. Persons subscribing to this list recognize that they have requested the Board contact them by electronic mail to secure their constitutional right to be afforded reasonable opportunity to participate in the operation of governmental agencies, thus fulfilling the mandate of Article II, Section 8, of the 1972 Montana constitution.
All persons currently on the PTRCB interested party list will be contacted via postal system and are encouraged to convert to this more efficient e-mail interested party list system. If you have questions about this new web-based service, please send an email to jaadoplph@mt.gov or call us at (406) 841-5090.
