2009 Legislation:

The 2009 Petroleum Tank Release Compensation Legislation, signed by the Governor on April 28, 2009, is effective October 1, 2009 and can be viewed on the internet with the links below.

New Board Members:

Mr. Roy Morris was appointed to the PTRCB as the representative of service station dealers on August 27, 2009.  Mr. Morris resides in Butte and his term of office ends on June 30, 2012.

Mr. Daniel Annala was appointed as representative of the general public on August 27, 2009.  Mr. Annala resides in Geyser and his term ends on June 30, 2012.

Work Group Advisory Meeting:

Advisory Work Group will meet on September 23, 2009 in room 122 at the DEQ building located at 1100 North Last Chance Gulch, Helena, Montana, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Key topic of discussion will be the applicable rules pertaining to the International Fire Code of 2009.  Additionally, the group will discuss other rule changes of interest.

Consultants Meetings:

The Department of Environmental Quality and the Petroleum Tank Release Compensation Board will hold a consultants meeting on September 18, 2009 from 10:00 to noon.  This meeting is focused on providing information considered to be of interest to the consultants.  It is open to the public and will be using remote video conferencing for the Billings and Kalispell areas.  The Billings office is located at 1371 Rimtop Drive and the new Kalispell office location is 655 Timberwolf, Suite #3.  See the Agenda for details or visit our Meetings link http://deq.mt.gov/pet/meetings.mcpx  for all our meetings and agendas.
